William Dean Ouellette, 69, of Sioux City, Iowa died on August 21, 2025, at Mitchell Hospice House in Sioux City, Iowa.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, located at 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa, 51106, with Pastor Neil Peck of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, Iowa.

William was born on December 8, 1955, to Robert E. and Mary Amelia (Jones) Ouellette in Sioux City. He was one of six children. He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated early from East High School in December 1974. He had an adventuresome spirit. He enjoyed parachuting, storm chasing, and riding in helicopters. He was a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and instructor in martial arts.
Bill married Rachel (Schroeder) Foltz on March 21, 2008, in Las Vegas, NV. He was employed as a lineman with Mid-American Energy for 35 years before retiring in 2016. He was a member of IBEW Local 231. His hobbies were reading, walking, swimming, playing cards, and watching Minnesota Twins baseball.
Survivors include his wife Rachel (Schroeder) Ouellette; 5 children, John Ouellette, Sarah (James) Key, Dustin (Shelbi) Ouellette, Holly (Josh) Curry, Ali Ouellette; 3 step children, Audrey (Kevin) Johnson, Steve Foltz, and Glen (Kelli) Foltz; numerous grandchildren; 3 brothers, Leonard Ouellette, David Ouellette and Jim Ouellette; sister, Carol Bennett; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; mother, Mary; stepmother, Vivian; sister, Kathy Perera; and two sister in-laws, Victoria Ouellette and Debra Ouellette.
