Vivian was born on February 27, 1928, in Oakland, NE, the daughter of Clyde G. and Mildred E. (Nelson) Eastberg. Vivian graduated from Oakland High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Charles H.W. Busse of Decatur, NE, on January 21, 1949, at the First Baptist Church in Oakland. They were married on her parents’ 22nd wedding anniversary. Charles and Vivian celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 21, 2009. Charles preceded her in death on June 18, 2009, at the age of 84 years old. Vivian was a homemaker and also worked at Peter’s Park Pantry for many years in addition to escorting their many tours to sights all over the United States and Canada. They owned and operated Busse Tours for many years. Vivian and Charles were active members for many years at Faith United Presbyterian Church (formerly Morningside Presbyterian Church), where she taught Sunday School. Vivian and Charles enjoyed traveling and always took vacations with their children and grandchildren so they could see the various states and all the beauty that God created for us to enjoy.

To this union, they were blessed with three children: Randall Charles, Danny Lee, and Connie Jean.
