Vernice Mary Emma Seebach, 84 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Accura Health Care in Le Mars, Iowa.
A Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 12th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church located at 614 Jennings St. Sioux City, Iowa 51105 with the Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 614 Jennings St., Sioux City.

Vernice was born June 7, 1939, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Jurgen " J.B." and Margaret (Frerichs) Renken. She grew up in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars High School in 1957, She started working for the Le Mars Daily Sentinel and later the Carpenter Paper Company. Vernice married Norbert E. Seebach on June 7, 1964, at Christ Lutheran Church rural Le Mars, IA. The couple made Sioux City their home. Vernice started working for the Big Sioux Terminal as an inventory clerk. She retired in 2004 after 29 years with the company.
She was a past member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school, Bible school teacher and a member of the choir. Vernice was a member and a faithful servant at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sioux City where she was also a member of the choir.
Surviving are sister, Verona Lubben of Le Mars, IA., 2 brother in-laws; Gerald and Judy Seebach of Lexington, KY, Dennis and Sandy Shaltanis of Ankeny, IA, niece; Camella and Mike Walters, nephew; Conley Frieden, great nephew Wade and Abby Walters and their children Cora and Quinn, great niece Whitney and Trevor Griess, a special friend April Jurgens who helped take care of her, and many other relatives and friends.
Vernice was predeceased by her parents; Jurgen and Margaret Renken, husband; Norbert Seebach, her in-laws; Rev. Norman and Mildred Seebach, sister, Velda Frieden and her husband Earl, brother in-law Earl Lubben, sister in-law Judith Shaltanis.
