Todd Martin Savary

Todd M. Savary, 55, of Sergeant Bluff, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.

A visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., with a Prayer Service at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Mater Dei Parish-Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Todd Martin Savary, the son of Ernest and JoAnn (Richa) Savary was born November 3, 1965, in Sioux City, IA. He graduated from East High School in 1984. Todd went on to attend Westmar University in Le Mars, IA, where he excelled in Basketball. He transferred to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in May of 1988.

On August 27, 1988, Todd was united in marriage with Kristine “Kris” Harris in Sioux City. Todd was an Independent Contractor selling tools for 5 Star Shop Services for most of his career.

Todd was a member of Church of the Nativity. He was an avid hunter, and was very active in youth sports. Todd coached and started many youth sports programs.

Todd is survived by his wife, Kris of Sergeant Bluff; children, Kaitlin of Spirit Lake, IA, Keegan (Karlee McKinney) of Fremont, NE, Korbyn of Sergeant Bluff; his parents, Ernest and JoAnn of Sioux City; a sister, Kelly (Randy) Vogel of Hastings, MI; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, any donations to the family will be directed to The Warrior Zone Booster Club and other youth sports organizations.
