Teresa R Robbins

Teresa R. Robbins, age 69, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at her home.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside Chapel.

Teresa Warengo was born on February 2, 1954, in Onawa, IA. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She earned an Associates of Applied Sciences degree in Administrative Assistant-Healthcare. She married Larry Dement when she was 19 years old, they lived in Anchorage, Alaska while he was stationed there.  

Teresa later lived in Anthon, Iowa and married Wayne Cooper when she was 26 years old. She worked as an LPN at Matney Manor in Sioux City, later working at MCI telecommunications, Gateway, Arby’s, and CNOS. She married Clyde Robbins when she was 39 years old and lived in Cushing, Iowa. She later moved back to Sioux City and lived in Riverside with her father to provide care for him.

She was baptized on February 14, 1954, in Onawa at St. Johns Catholic Church. She had her first holy communion on Sunday, October 29, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Anthon, IA. While in Sioux City she attended Immaculate Conception, the church her parents attended.

She is survived by her son, Shane (Stephanie) Cooper; sister, Mona Voorhees of Florida; grandchildren, Mattea (Tommy) Wright of Missouri, Dalton (Natalie) Cooper of Missouri Valley, BreeAnna Cooper of Council Bluffs, Caylee and Aiden Petersen of Akron; great grandchildren, Everett and Grayson Wright, Oliver Cooper; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Warengo; and her mother, Delores Warengo.
