Ronnie Lee Guy, 55, lifelong Sioux City resident died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Merrill G. Muller officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Larkin Northside Chapel.

Ronnie was born April 5, 1952, in Sioux City, the son of Carl Lee and Gladys (Conley) Guy. He grew up and attended Sioux City Public Schools, graduating from Riverside High School in 1970.

He married Colleen Coughlin on June 8, 2002, in Vermillion, S.D. The couple made their home in Riverside. He owned and operated Ronnie Guy Construction.

He was a member of the Sioux City Elks Lodge, Boys of 68, Riverside Cribbage League and the Democratic Party. His hobbies included fishing, playing cards (cribbage), golfing, playing and coaching baseball. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes, and just having a beer with his friends. He was a devoted husband, dad and grandpa.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Guy of Sioux City; his mother, Gladys Guy of Sioux City; his children, Jamie and Mindy and Jody and Deb, all of Omaha, Joe and Andrea of Volin, S.D., Terry and Tanja, Johanna, Willie and Courtney, all of Sioux City and Jessie and Jason of Nevada; his grandchildren, Kelly, Nikki, John, Candi, Cassie, Aubrey, Conner, Devin, Taylor and Bailey; two brothers and their wives, Carl and Bonita Guy Jr. and Rick and Deanna Guy, all of Sioux City; and a sister and her husband, Linda and Frank Blachnik of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Guy Sr.
