Robert Lee Greco

Robert "Bob" Greco, 90, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026. Born and raised in California, where he spent most of his life, Bob later moved to Iowa to be closer to his family in his later years.

Bob spent many years working as an electrician, bringing the same steady hands and patience to his trade that he brought to everything else in life. He was a devoted and active member of his church, and his faith was a steady guide throughout his years.

Above all, Bob cherished his family. He is survived by his daughters, Susan, Debbie, and Laurie, and his six grandchildren, Megan, Zoey, Caitlin, Rachel, Oliver, and Arthur, who were the light of his life (and the frequent target of his one-liners). He never missed a chance to spend time with them, and his love and devotion knew no bounds.

Bob always had a soft spot for animals, and there was rarely a day he didn't have a cat or a parakeet keeping him company at home. He was known for his quick wit and warm sense of humor, and had a special fondness for “Grumpy" t-shirts from Snow White's Seven Dwarves, which was always ironic, since Bob's grumpiness was always entirely for show.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7

A visitation will be held in Iowa on Thursday, July 9th, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Christy Smith Funeral Home. A service will also be held in California on August 14th.

Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his humor, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
