Hubbard, NE – Phyllis Jean Kleve, 78, died Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at a local hospital in Sioux City, IA.

Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Christy-Smith, Morningside, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Phyllis Jean Clift was born January 9, 1945, in Sioux City.

On January 26, 1963, Phyllis was united in marriage with Virgil Kleve. She was a homemaker. Virgil died May 14, 2015.

Phyllis was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hubbard, NE. She enjoyed volunteering at the soup kitchen and at church activities.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Pamela Kleve and Todd Kleve; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Edward Clift and Myrna Anderson; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Karen Brunssen and Sarah Hanson.
