Nina L. Snyder-Rohan
BRONSON, Iowa—Nina L. (Vondrak) Snyder, 52, of Bronson died Friday, June 8, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Township Cemetery, Bronson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a 7 p.m. parish vigil service, at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.
Nina was born March 22, 1955, in Sioux City. She grew up and attended school in Hinton, Iowa, graduating in 1973. She also attended Western Iowa Tech and Bellevue University.
In July of 1973, she married Walter J. Snyder in Kentucky. He passed way in 1989. She later married Ed Rohan on Oct. 10, 1998. She worked for several companies in the Siouxland area, including Wincharger, Zenith, IBP, Western Iowa Tech and currently Alorica.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Nina enjoyed collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, needlepoint, traveling and family. She was a very kind-natured, generous person but, most of all, she had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Rohan of Bronson; three daughters, Cindy Robinson and her husband, Shawn of Hinton, Susan Bryne and special friend, Stephanie Hansen of Sioux City and Kim Sims of Le Mars, Iowa; two sons, Bryan Snyder of Sioux City and Allen Rohan and his wife, Diana of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Tom Vondrak, Clyde Vondrak, Leon Vondrak and Jim Vondrak; eight sisters, Henrietta, Virginia, Rita, Betty, Martha, Dixie, Candy and Carlene; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Snyder; her parents, Henry and Ruth Vondrak; and a sister, Catherine “Boots.”
