Nancy Jo Henry, 76, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Rochester, Minnesota.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Mater Dei Parish – Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ (4242 Natalia Way) with a visitation taking place one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Nancy was born on March 30, 1948, to Robert “Bob” and Evelyn “Evie” (Shima) Bezdichek in Le Center, Minnesota. As the oldest of six kids, Nancy helped at her family’s grocery store during her childhood. She graduated from Winona State University.
Nancy taught at Waseca High School in Waseca, Minnesota, before becoming a realtor in Sioux City, Iowa. She worked as a realtor for over forty years, and was licensed in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. She served on many committees, such as the Greater Sioux City Board of Realtors, and even served as Board President. She won Realtor of the Year in Sioux City and Iowa.
Nancy is survived by her best friend of over 33 years, Tom Peterson of Dakota Dunes; brothers, Bill (Joyce) Bezdichek of Fort Myes, Florida, Tom (Mary) Bezdichek of Brookings, South Dakota, and John (Therese) Bezdichek of Fort Myers, Florida; sister, Molly (Dan Hartwig) O’Malley of Wausau, Wisconsin; 4 step children, Brit (Chad) Zink of Harrisburg, Iowa, Candace (Mike) Borrall of Sioux City, Iowa, Andrea Gutierrez of Arizona, and Jen Howerton of Arizona; 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Addison, and Aubrey; step grandchild, Arianna Gutierrez; 11 nieces and nephews; and 15 great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Evie Bezdichek; and her brother, Bobby Bezdichek.
