Sioux City - Nancy M. Carstensen of Sioux City passed way Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at a local nursing home.
Services were held Jan. 22 at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, where Bill Yanney officiated. Burial will be in Lowell Cemetery, Lowell Mass.
Nancy was born on July 24, 1935, in Lowell, Mass., to Thomas and Dorothy (Madon) Coates. She started working at Woodbury County Motor Vehicle Dept. on Sept. 10, 1960, and retired from there on Oct. 29, 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Renee (Jeffrey) Hawkinson of Hinton, Iowa; and two grandchildren, Todd Hawkinson and Shara Hawkinson, both of Hinton.
