Mary Agnes Jorgensen, 99, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022.
She was born on April 20, 1923 in Sioux City, Iowa to the late Miles and Mary (Garvey) Barrett. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 70 years, Robert Frank Jorgensen, son, Jim Jorgensen, brother, Ambrose Barrett (Mary), sisters, Sister Bertilla Barrett, Sister Ellen Therese Barrett, Delores Kramper (Don) and brother-in-law, Lou Hirschman.
Mary enjoyed talking on the phone and emailing her family and friends every day.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Helen Maxedon (Richard) of Louisville, KY, son, Mark Jorgensen (Cathy) of Loveland, CO, daughter-in-law, Kay Arp of Troy Mills, IA, grandchildren, Jason, Julie, Elizabeth, Christina, Robert and Tim. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and sister, Elizabeth Hirschman of Bastrop, TX.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery (2802 Casselman Street Sioux City, IA 51103).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Mary’s memory be made to Mass of the Air (1200 S. Shelby Street Louisville, KY 40203).
