Marilyn Kay Baker, 71, of Sioux City, Iowa, died on Sunday, June 30, 2024, in Sioux City, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, July 13, 2024, at Crescent Park Global Methodist Church (2826 Myrtle St., Sioux City, IA).

Marilyn was born April 26, 1953, in Sioux City to Franklin O. and Luvena S. (McGee) Roos. She grew up and attended school in Sioux City, graduating from Central High School. Marilyn married her high school sweetheart, Tom Baker, and the couple had three children: Robert, Alan, and Bradley. Marilyn moved to the Seattle, Washington area with her boys where she worked for The Boeing Company as a machinist in the aviation industry. Upon her retirement, she returned to Sioux City. She was a member at Crescent Park Global Methodist Church where she spent a lot of her time volunteering.
Survivors include her three sons: Robert Baker of Seattle, WA, Alan Baker of Sioux City, and Bradley Baker of Sioux City; 9 grandchildren; two siblings; Vena Blackmore and Franky Roos; and many other relatives and friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.
