Lori Lynn Johns

Lori L. Johns, 66 of Sioux City, Iowa died on Thursday, October 16, 2025, following a lengthy illness surrounded by her family in Sioux City, Iowa.

Following her wishes, she will be cremated, and her ashes will be buried next to her husband at Logan Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA.

A Celebration of life will be held on November 8th from 12:00 PM – 4:00 pm at the Wellington apartments (located at 240 Courtyard Drive, Dakota Dunes, SD). There will be a gathering for family and friends with food and drink provided.

Lori was born March 26, 1959, in Sioux City to Charles and (Yvonne McFarland) Gordon, one of nine children. She married Bradley F. Johns on July 9, 1977, at Elk Point, SD. They moved to Loveland, CO. While there Lori attended Front Range Community College and earned her associates degree. The couple had three sons, Heath, Damen, and Kai. They moved back to Sioux City in 1994. Lori worked for Gateway 2000 and later at Siouxland Federal Credit Union serving as head teller and loan officer. They renewed their wedding vows in May of 2020 for eternity. Bradley died in June of 2020.

Surviving are three sons, Heath Johns Damen Johns, and Kai Johns. four grandchildren; Chase Johns, Carter Johns, and his fiancé Destiny Ehlers. Riley Johns, Caleb June, two great grandchildren Mylah May Johns, and Bentley M. Johns, two sisters, Paula (Ernie) Harrigfeld, Donna (Doug) Laurens, two brothers, Allan (Barbara) Gordon, Chuck (Sara Jo) Gordon, brother in-law Dennis Cole along with many other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Brad, four sisters, Connie "Sis" Sadler, Sheila Gordon, Jeannette Cole and Marian and her husband Alan Ryden, and a nephew Darin Cole.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to help defray the cost of her illness.
