Kenneth J. Smith, 76, of Sioux City, went home to be with Jesus on April 5, 2021.

A funeral will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021 at Cornerstone World Outreach, 1625 Glen Ellen Rd, Sioux City, Iowa, 51106. A visitation will take place 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa, 51106 with the family present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel is helping the family with arrangements.

Kenneth Joseph Smith was born November 6, 1944 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Morris and Ella Smith. He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad in Aberdeen until his retirement in 2010.

He loved to fish and hunt. Kenneth was a lover of dogs. He loved pet sitting and had a special love for Petie.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Donna Smith of Sioux City; son, Zac Smith of Arizona; brother, Doug & Kristy Smith of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sisters, Bonnie & Rick Labay of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Kathy & Barry Decker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Julie Sharp of Aberdeen, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Gloria Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob.
