SIOUX CITY -- Joseph Gabriel Brewer, 21, of Vermillion, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, July 11, 2011, at Sanford Vermillion Hospital.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Michael R. Ring officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Berkemier Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Sioux City. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Joe was born Jan. 13, 1990, in Sioux City, the son of Eugene and Luisa (Lopez) Brewer. He attended school at Morningside Christian and later Dakota Valley. Joe moved to Vermillion in 2010. He worked at Baltic Enterprise in Burbank, S.D.
Joe enjoyed all sorts of music and installing sound systems in vehicles. He also liked to hang out with his friends, sports cars, working out and lifting weights.
Survivors include his parents, Eugene and Luisa Brewer of Vermillion; a sister, Krystal Brewer of Sioux City; paternal grandparents, Eugene E. and Marlis Brewer Sr.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Enrique Lopez Valdivia and Graceila Moreno Jimenez.
