Jerome Scott Snodgrass

Jerome Scott Snodgrass, 63, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his daughter's home on Friday, May 22, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him most. He was born on May 26, 1962, in Onawa, Iowa, to Jerome “Jerry” and Mary “Tony” Snodgrass (Olson). He worked at Godfather’s as a teen, where he made man lifelong friends.

Scott married Glenda “Jo” Snodgrass (Smith) in October of 1985, to which they were blessed with three daughters. During this time, he provided for his family by working at Smurfit Stone. They later divorced and he never remarried.

When Scott wasn’t home messing in his garden, you could find him out in the wood hunting, fishing, or at the kitchen table doing taxidermy. He enjoyed it so much he opened “Snobby’s Hobbies.”

His dog Snuggles was his best friend. They went everywhere together, including long country drives with his daughter, Michayla.

As Scott got older, he earned the title Papa. He enjoyed walking the girls to the gas station and loading up on candy. He often found himself at dance competitions, football games, and choir concerts. There was no doubt he loved being in the crowd.

He was blessed last year with his great-granddaughter. She was his light on his dark days.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, and brother, Dan.

He is survived by his daughters, Ashley (Anthony) Timm, Michayla (Zach) Swanson, and Jillian Snodgrass. And honorary daughter, Lacey (Jordan) Martinson. His is also survived by his many grandchildren: Faith, Madison, Justin, Trezdyn, Talon, Braedon, Marley, Eliana, Teegan, Kinnick, and Kaisley; his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Bentley, and his favorite great-granddaughter, Oaklynn; his siblings, Melissa (Greg) Larson, Amy Swenson, Doug Snodgrass, and Bob Snodgrass; his aunt, Julie Casavant; nieces, nephews, and a new great nephew.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM with Visitation taking place at 9:00 AM, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel. Please come how Scott would, in camo and daisy dukes.
