James "Jamie" Emory Tadlock, age 53, passed away on June 25, 2026.
Born November 19, 1972, in Sioux City, Iowa, Jamie was the son of James Eugene and Judith Antoinette Tadlock, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his siblings, Jennifer, Jessica, and Jonathan.
Jamie graduated from East High School in Sioux City in 1991. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served four years and earned an honorable discharge as a Gulf War veteran. Upon returning home, he began a career with the City of Sioux City, during which time he furthered his education, earning both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in criminal justice from Bellevue University.
His dedication to service carried him forward into federal law enforcement, first with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and then with the U.S. Marshals.
Above all, Jamie will be remembered for his heart of service — to his family, his faith, and his country. He lived life fully and met every person along the way with warmth and genuine enthusiasm.
He leaves behind an emptiness that can never truly be filled, and a presence that will be missed every day.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jamie's life on July 16, 2026, from 6-8pm at the family home, 33 Dorchester Road, Sioux City, IA.
