Jacob Andrew Wynn passed May 10, 2026, at his home. He was 45 yrs old.
Jacob Andrew was born on September 26, 1980, in Sioux City, IA, to Charles and Patricia Wynn (Clay). He attended the Sioux City public Schools. He worked as a dishwasher for Western Iowa Tech Community College.
Jacob lived at Trivium Life Services. They talked highly of Jacob and what an asset he was to their community. Jacob got along with everyone and set an example through his patience, compassion and understanding. He truly enjoyed spending time with his roommates, they enjoyed watching sci-fi movies and suspense movies along with WWE. He enjoyed going to dinner with roommates on Sundays. Jacob also liked going fishing and going to church with his brother, Jody. Family was very important to Jacob.
Jacob survived by many siblings, Tonisa (Rob) Crowder, Eadie (Mike) Sweezy, Annett Wynn, Jody Wynn and Amanda Wynn; his stepdad, Clint Groves; stepbrother, Ben (Christy) Groves; stepsister Jennifer Groves; and stepsister Alex Groves (Kollin Jones). He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jacob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wynn and Patricia Groves; grandparents, Clifford and Louise Wynn along with Everett and Irene Clay; and two uncles, Mike Clay and Everett Clay.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the food bank or the homeless shelters in Sioux City.
A family run service will be on held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Glad Tidings Lighthouse Church, 410 E 10th St, South Sioux City, NE. Visitation will be at 10:00 am with Service at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon immediately after the service. The funeral home will not be involved with the service.
