Harold A. Kaiser

Harold A. Kaiser, 95, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Thomas A. Jacobs and Lee Crum officiating. Graveside services will be 1:15 p.m. Friday in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel. Mr. Kaiser was born June 24, 1912, in Plymouth County, Merrill, Iowa, the son of Albert and Louise (Prince) Kaiser.

He married Helen Mary Johnson on Sept. 26, 1940, in Sioux City. She died Sept. 5, 2000, in Sioux City. After their marriage, the couple farmed near Merrill, Iowa. In 1985, they moved to Sioux City following his retirement.

He was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church. He was very active in the church and participated in many church groups.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Kaiser and his wife, Darlene of Sedgwick, Colo., and Dennis Kaiser of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Vina Holloway of Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Angela Johnson, Tammra Anderson, Sevan Holloway and his wife, Zifar and Tova Holloway; four great-grandchildren, Kodiak Johnson, Dalton Johnson, Andrew Anderson and Tanisha Anderson; and a cousin, Bill Kaiser of Long Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Roland Kaiser; and his brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be Henry Tordoff, Dick Schlitter, Jim Jackson, Mark Krohn, Laurin Eichhorn and Jerry Fish.
