Harold William Higginbotham

Harold W. Higginbotham, 77, passed away Wednesday July 22, 2026, in Sioux City. 

A visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., with burial to follow in Kingsley Cemetery. 

Harold William Higginbotham, the son of Harlan and Helen (Bush) Higginbotham was born May 29, 1949, in Kingsley, IA. He entered the U.S. Army in 1969 and served honorably until his discharge in 1971. On July 9, 1970, Harold was united in marriage with Constance “Connie” Allen in South Sioux City, NE. Harold was a long-time construction worker. He also worked in the Maintenance Department at the Sioux City Mall for over 20 years. Later in life, he owned and operated a Flea Market. 

Harold enjoyed going to rummage sales and auctions, where he collected many things. 

Harold is survived by his wife, Connie of Moville; son, Justin (Angela Conway) Higginbotham of Fountain, CO; four grandchildren, Ian Michael, Brady Allan, Trystan Diamond, and Serena Jones; an honorary daughter, Dana Martin of Sioux City; and a sister, Ruth of Moville. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sons, Jody, Jeremy, and James; siblings, Norman and June; and a great-niece, Jenna Turpen.
