MOVILLE, Iowa -- Grace E. Demarest, infant daughter of Luke and Deborah (Brant) Demarest of Moville, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at a Sioux Falls, S.D. hospital.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com .
Grace was born Jan. 20, 2008, and only lived for two hours, but she has left a precious memory of her life for her parents.
Survivors include her parents, Luke and Deborah; maternal grandparents, Richard and Nancy Brant Ahn of Marshalltown, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Mark and Jo Demarest of Correctionville, Iowa; maternal great-grandparents, Gordon and Betty Gail Brant of Marshalltown, Iowa; paternal great-grandparents, Leonard and Eva Munsen of Correctionville, Iowa, and Gaylen and Myrtie Demarest of Cushing, Iowa; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a cousin, Collin Smith; maternal grandfather, James E. Brant; maternal great-grandparents, James and Lucile Smith; maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Brant; paternal uncles, Paul Demarest and Jim Arnold; and a maternal uncle, Richard Smith.
A memorial fund in Grace's name has been established on care of the family.
