Gina was born on October 9, 1967, in Sioux City, Iowa, to John and Carol Lynn (Osburn) Streeter. She was a lifelong Sioux Citian and graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1986.
On October 27, 1990, Gina married Craig Dam in Sioux City and was affectionately nicknamed “Momma Dam.” She was a homemaker as well as a co-owner of Dam Auto, alongside Craig. Family was important to Gina; she “loved so hard” and made an everlasting impact on every life she touched. She valued taking care of herself as well as everyone else. In her spare time, she enjoyed living on McCook Lake, traveling to beaches, collecting seashells, and watching her precious children and grandchildren grow up.
Gina was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church her entire life. She was an active member of her community, volunteering her time in numerous organizations and groups. Gina’s favorite moments included being her children’s “#1 fan” in all aspects of their lives.
Gina is survived by her husband, Craig Dam; her children, TJ Dam, Brady (Bailee) Dam, and Katie Dam; two grandchildren, Dakota and Brooks; father, John Streeter; her brother, Rod (Tanya) Streeter; sister, Joni (Streeter) Walding; and many close family and friends whom she considered family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Carol; her in-laws, Jack and Laura Dam; and sister-in-law, Karen Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gina's memory to the family for donations to be made at a later date.
