Freedom Cousineau

Freedom Rae-Ann Cousineau, 18, of Algona, Iowa, passed away on April 9, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at GladTidings Lighthouse in South Sioux City, Nebraska (410 E. 10 St.).

Freedom was born on November 1, 2005, to Joshua Cousineau and Nicole Townsley in Sioux City, Iowa. 

Freedom was a social butterfly who brought light to everyone she met. She loved to make TikTok’s, crafting with beads, listening to music, and going on car rides. She loved being in nature and exploring all sorts of places and animals – elephants and butterflies were her favorites. She enjoyed going out for walks and spending time with her family. Freedom was a light that shined so bright, and she will forever be eighteen. 

Survivors include her parents, Joshua Cousineau, Nicole Townsley, Dylan Finn, Adrian Cousineau, Heavana Townsley, Alexa Townsley, Ahr’lyn Cousineau, Manuel Luna, Ava Wilkinson; her grandparents, Phillip and Denise Townsley; her uncles, Charles Nicolls, Chad Nicolls, and Eric Townsley; many aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and her friends she loved to infinity.

She is proceeded in death by her grandfather, Andrew Cousineau, Dolores Townsley, and so many other important people in her life.
