Donna J. Viken

Donna J. Viken, 83, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday August 11, 2026, in Eldora, IA.

A visitation will be 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave. A funeral service will be 10:30 am Monday, August 24, 2026, at Christy-Smith, Morningside, with burial to follow in Graceland Cemetery.

Donna J. Jepsen, the daughter of Clarence and Ella (Rasmussen) Jepson was born November 17, 1942, in Wayne, NE. She graduated from high school in 1961 in South Sioux City, NE.

Donna was united in marriage with Harvey H. Viken January 14, 1961, in Sioux City. She was a homemaker for a few years before working nights in a pizza restaurant. Donna then became a Tupperware consultant, working her way up to management. She then was an Administrative Assistant at Sioux Tools for the next 29 years. Donna ultimately worked at Siouxland Sales as a bookkeeper.

Donna’s favorite activity was spoiling the grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her sons, Kerry (Lorie) Viken of Fort Dodge, IA, Kevin (Jackie) Viken of Norton Shores, MI, and Keith Viken of Mission, KS; 4 grandchildren, Trevor, Evan, Garett (Bugsy), and Brianne (Matt) Anderson; and three great-grandchildren, Corbin, MacKenzie, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Francis and Ron.
