Chuck passed away, 87, on 24 July 2025, surrounded by his son and his sister. Chuck was born on 4 June 1938 in Everett, WA. Chuck lived most of his life in Sioux City, but he died at a Kingsley nursing facility. Chuck Williams and Phyllis A. Williams (Bowden), died 22 August 2024, were married for 61 years.
Chuck’s parents Dellas and Evelyn (Allen) were preceded by death. His siblings were preceded by death: Irene, Ruth, James (Jimmy). Chuck is survived by brothers and sisters: (William) Ernest Williams, Viola Dowell, Alice Menard, Glenn Williams, and Lorraine DeWolfe.
Chuck's only surviving child is Robert (Christopher). His daughter, Patty Rausch, and son, Andy (Andrew) Williams (Mary), were preceded by death. He has 5 grandchildren: Marie, Crystal, Timmy (Timothy), Tina, and Ralph preceded by death. He has 5 great-grandchildren: Brett, Anthony, Alexia, Blake, and Hunter. Chuck has multiple nephews and nieces.
Chuck was in the United States Marines. He served from January 1957 - January 1960. He studied at Food Service School at Camp Pendleton, CA. His military school training was in cooking and baking. Over his working career, he worked at different restaurants. Before he retired, he worked several years at the Palmer House Restaurant as a Chef in Sioux City. For several years, Chuck was a varsity football coach for Middle School aged boys. Some of the activities he liked to do: fishing, jigsaw puzzles, playing cribbage and horseshoes.
Chuck and Phyllis will be buried in the same plot at Calvary Cemetery in Sioux City. The funeral will be a Gravesite Funeral Service with Military Honors. The funeral date is pending.
