Danny Carl Peterson

Danny Carl Peterson, 43, of Sioux City died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Wolff of Riverside Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Danny was born July 22, 1964, in Sioux City, the son of Carl Clifford and Cleo Marie (Thayer) Peterson. He was a life long resident of the Sioux City area. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1983 to 1985.
He married Karen Snider on Nov. 2, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nev. They divorced in 1997. He was a security guard at IBP, then a correctional officer. He did electrical work for Flood Music as a road crew hand when a concert came to town. He also did construction work.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, taking rides on his Harley motorcycle, doing carpentry work, cooking and gardening.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Cleo Peterson of Sioux City; two daughters, Cassandra Peterson of Sioux City and Marissa Peterson of Springdale, Ark.; a sister, Jennifer and Terry Cousineau of Sioux City; an adopted sister, Miranda Peterson of Sioux City; a loved one, Ivy Horn of Sioux City; and several cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
