Cynthia LePay

July 8, 1965 — November 25, 2023

Sioux City

Cyndi entered into this world on July 8, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of George and Merilou Drescher. She was the product of a loving, supportive family. She attended Painter Elementary School, and later graduated from Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Cyndi, as she passed through the journey of life had, as we all do, many ups and downs. During this time, she developed an attitude of caring and compassion, and a heart of gold. In November of 1985, she met Bill LePay of Sioux City, Iowa, and on April 23, 1988 they were married. This union was blessed with one child, Zachary in April of 2003. The home she helped create had two supportive parents, a focus on education, and a belief in God. She especially loved Thanksgiving and Christmas, with all of the celebration centered on friends and family. On her birthday, she would however, look at the calendar with the explanation of, “What The Hell?” She did have a tendency to be a bit dramatic at times.

The end for Cyndi came somewhat unexpectedly on November 25, 2023 in Sioux City, Iowa. Resisting all the way, she passed peacefully, after many prayers, with her family surrounding her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill, and son, Zachary of Sioux City, her sister Sharon, and her brothers Bill and Rick of Pittsburgh, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Merilou and sister, Carol.

May the Lord have and hold her, and may she rest in peace.
