Carol was born June 8, 1941, to Lisle Elsworth and Esther Catherine (Stone) Ebaugh. She grew up in Sioux City and was a graduate of Central High School.

She married Loren R Bush on October 2, 1959, in Sioux City. While Loren was serving in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963, they were stationed and resided in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Shortly after welcoming daughter Lynn into the world, Loren and Carol returned home to Sioux City and purchased their forever home in 1965, in anticipation of the birth of their son, Curt.

Carol's joy in life was staying home taking care of her family. She was a perfectionist when it came to keeping a tidy home, and in later years she assisted others with doing the same. Carol was proud to be the lunch lady for two years and serve students at Whittier Elementary School. The family enjoyed many vacations and weekends camping with family and friends. Carol and Loren loved traveling the country and visiting as many National Parks and casinos as they could.

Carol enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles, and reading. She especially cherished time with her family and friends. In recent years, her great-grandchildren were the highlight of her day, always getting right down on the floor to play alongside them.

She was a proud member of St. Mark Lutheran Church for 55 years, serving on the funeral lunch committee, and as an usher and greeter with Loren for many of those years.

Survivors include son, Curt Bush (Jil McCorkindale) of Sioux City; daughter, Lynn (Michael) Rossiter of Sioux City; four grandchildren: Michael Bush of Sioux City, Katie Bush of Sioux City, Elliott (Mariah) Rossiter of Davenport, Iowa, and Elizabeth (Shane) Rol of Dakota City; 5 great-grandchildren: Nora Bush, Lucas Rol, Lincoln Rol, Landon Rol, and Brig Rossiter; a sister-in-law, Doreen Ebaugh of South Sioux City; a brother-in-law & sister-in law, John & Linda Bush of Lincoln, California; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Loren, her parents, 2 brothers (Bob, Brad), 2 sisters-in-law (Noreen, Norma Jean), a brother-in-law (Dale), and several beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
