Beverly Ann (Erlandson) Howard, 91, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Sunrise Retirement Community. Funeral service will be Friday, January 9th, 2026 at Westminster Presbyterian Church at 10:30 am with Pastor Kevin Freese officiating.Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Burial at Memorial Park following the service. Arrangements are being made by Christy Smith Funeral Home.
Bev was born to Elmer and Anna (Adickson) Erlandson on September 17, 1934 in Sioux City, IA. She was raised on a farm near Laurel, NE and graduated from Laurel High School in 1952. She began doing office work right after high school
On June 22, 1957, Beverly was united in marriage to Robert Howard at First Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. Bob passed away on October 11, 2024. They had been married for 67 years. Their union was blessed with 3 children: Greg, Renee and Eric.
When Bob and Bev started their family Bev concentrated on their children especially when they were young. She worked various office positions as time allowed, but above all she loved and cherished her husband and family.
Bev was a woman of faith and a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was involved in various church circles, United Presbyterian Women, and served as a Deacon.
Those left to cherish her memory include son Greg of Sioux City/Cushing; daughter Renee (Tom) Wear of Nicollet, MN; and son Eric (Misty) of Sioux City; Grandchildren: Jennifer, Robbie and Rachelle, Leathen (Lacy), Keegan (Heidi) and Amethyst (Joe): Great-grandchildren: Haydyn, Irelynn and Carver, Paisley and Griffen, longtime special friends Vandy Junck, Ed and LaRoyce Kollbaum She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bev was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, cousin Norma Erlandson, longtime friend Jack Junck, and many special relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Sunrise Sunlight Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for 4-1/2 years of excellent care and for their attention to Bob on his almost daily visits until his passing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
