Alice Margaret Perry (Larson)

Alice Margaret Morten Perry, 88, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at a Sioux City nursing home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morningside Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kevin Lee officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel.

Alice was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of Louis and Olava (Grindberg) Larson. She graduated from East High School in 1936. She then attended nurses training at St. Luke's in Fargo, N.D.

Following a brief marriage to M.J. Pedersen, she moved back to Sioux City. She worked for several years for Dr. Dimadale, then for many years at the Methodist Hospital. She then worked for St. Luke's Regional Medical Center.

In 1970, she married Harold Morten, who died in 1986. In 1998, she married Charles Perry, who died in 2002.

She was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church. Throughout her life, she had a great love for music, especially the piano, art, her church, family and friends.

She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Clarice and Bennett Aust; cousins; 11 nieces and nephews; and the families of her husbands.
