Vivian E. Harder

Vivian E. Harder, 74, of Sioux City, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at her residence in Sioux City after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
A visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, Morningside, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m.
Vivian Eleanor Keith, the daughter of Lester and Ruth (Struble) Keith, was born Dec. 15, 1943, in Coldwater, Mich. She graduated from high school in White Cloud, Mich., and went on to work at Donnelly Marketing.
On Sept. 21, 1962, Vivian was united in marriage with Roger Harder in Brohman, Mich. She worked as a custodian for the Sioux City school system until her retirement in 2000.
Vivian was a very giving person who loved doing things for others. She liked spending time at the Sioux City Senior Center, doing crafts with her friends. She also enjoyed Tuesday night golfing, and had achieved two holes-in-one. Vivian loved camping, which the couple did just about every weekend. She was devoted to her grandsons and cherished the time she spent with them.
Vivian is survived by her husband, Roger of Sioux City; sons, Justin (Geri Beth) of Plano, Texas, and Dan (Carol) of Sioux City; grandchildren, Justus, William and Sam; siblings, Donna Krontz of Dakota City, Neb., Dan (Shirley) Keith of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Dora Parker of Sioux City; brother-in-law, Dan Willcox of Oklahoma City; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Don Keith; and a sister, Kay Willcox.
