Goldie Frank, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021, of COVID.
She was born in Sioux City, Iowa on October 22, 1932, the youngest of 9 children to Roy C. and Tillie (Deurmeier) Reed. Goldie graduated from Central High School in 1950. She married Gilbert L. Frank on June 9, 1951.
Goldie was a housewife and raised two daughters with her husband Gilbert. She enjoyed crocheting and made a baby blanket to celebrate the birth of each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved going to bingo with her best friend Diane and visiting with her bingo pals at the WinnaVegas Casino.
She is survived by two daughters, Roxanne (Keith) Van Loon of Sun Prairie, WI and Melanie (Dennis) Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; her parents; and 8 siblings.
As Goldie wished, she will be cremated. She would not have wanted anyone to be exposed to COVID, so there will be no indoor public service. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2 PM at Calvary Cemetery. Please dress warmly and wear a mask.
