Glen "Fred"` Frederick Wolf

Glen Frederick “Fred” Wolf Jr., age 75, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his children.

There will be a private family service. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel is assisting the family.

Fred was born on November 27, 1946, in Sioux City, IA, the son of Glen Frederick Wolf Sr. and Bonita (Smith) Wolf. Fred lived his whole childhood life in Storm Lake, IA. He graduated from Storm Lake High School in 1965.

Fred married the love of his life, Lynn Monson, in August of 1966. The couple had three children, Sarah, John, and Paul.

Fred worked many jobs while going through college. Fred attended Iowa State University in 1966. He enlisted in the Army in March of 1968. He received an honorable discharge in 1971. He graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake in May of 1974. He started working for Iowa Public Service, now MidAmerican Energy, in 1974. He continued his education and received his master’s in business from South Dakota State University. He retired in 2010.

Fred loved spending time with his family. He loved to fish, camp, golf and work in the garage. He was an avid Iowa State fan.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn of Sioux City; three children, Sarah (Wolf) and Jack Taylor of Sioux City, John Wolf of Sioux City, Paul Wolf and Abby Weibel of Sioux City; sister, Starr Clayton of Kansas City; grandchildren, Jacob Taylor, Marinda Golden, Skylar Taylor, Chelsea Wolf, Whitney Wolf, Alexis Wolf, Parker Wolf; great grandchildren, Madisun Taylor, Alehia Garner, Blake Wolf-Garner, Liam Nelson, Jayce Taylor.
