Ellen Marie Morris

Ellen Marie Morris, 92, of Sioux City, Iowa passed away May 27, 2022.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Glendale Baptist Church with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel is assisting with services.

Ellen was born on November 25, 1929, the 1st child of Guy and Myrtle Beardshear.

She married Charles W. Morris on June 8, 1946, after he returned from the Korean War.

She was a member of Glendale Baptist Church for 70 plus years. She was a Sunday School Teacher, enjoyed singing in the choir, bible study and just helping out when needed. She truly will be missed.

She was employed by Aalfs, Wincharger, Zenith and Donnelly Marketing. After retirement she babysat for many friends and relatives.

Surviors include son, Robin Morris and his wife Theadora of Christ Church, New Zealand; 3 daughters, Janice and Larry Linton of Enterprize, Kansas, Kathy and David Bertrand of Sioux City, Iowa, Barbara and Randell McNamara of Custer, South Dakota; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Morris; twin infant sons, Dennis and Dean; her parents, Guy and Myrtle Beardshear; 2 brothers, Jack (Veron) and John Beardshear; and grandson, David Linton.

We were all truly blessed to have had her with us for 92 years! Now the heavens are blessed as she watches over all who loved her!
