Beverlye Anne Hind

Beverlye Anne Hind, age 78, of Sioux City passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 surrounded by her family.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are requested for the service. Beverlye was born July 29, 1942 in Sioux City, IA to Frank and Bertha (Jansen) Carlson.

She married Larry Walsted and they had four children; the couple later divorced.

On June 6, 1980 Bev married Stan Hind. She worked for 16 years at WITCC and she later worked at the Department of Human Services until she retired.

Bev was a volunteer with the Sioux City Public Library, delivering books to residents in nursing homes. She also did volunteer work at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Morningside Garden Club and she loved working in the yard with her flowers. On Wednesdays, Bev and her sister, Donna, would go shopping, have lunch, and play cards. She loved having her grandkids over to play games or go swimming in the pool.

Bev is survived by her husband, Stan Hind of Sioux City, IA; daughters, Jeanne Uhl of Raymore, MO, Joleen Flota of Suffolk, VA, Jodi (Rick) Zibers of Cape Coral, FL; son, Dan (Kimberly) Walsted of Des Moines, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shirley Ruser and Terri Sieble; along with three brothers-in-law.
