Trudy Ann Soule, 74, of Hinton, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at her home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St Michael Catholic Church of the Holy Cross Parish, 2223 Indian Hills Dr., in Sioux City. Interment will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery, Hinton. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., a parish vigil services at 7 p.m., at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, 2320 Outer Dr., in Sioux City. Trudy was born on July 3, 1943, in Minneapolis, to Robert and Doris (Olson) Bogenrief. The family moved to Sioux City when Trudy was a young girl and a few years later moved to Hinton to be closer to family. She grew up in Hinton and attended school there. She graduated from Hinton High School in 1961.
Trudy married Phillip Soule on June 20, 1964 at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Sioux City. Trudy worked for Monroe Welding in Sioux City for several years before the couple started their family. The couple had three children, Shelly, Scott and Shane. Trudy then stayed home while the kids were in school. She started the Leeds Laundromat and later ran the deli at the Pronto in Leeds before she retired.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of the Holy Cross Parish in Sioux City and served as a Den Mother of Cub Scout Troop 186 in Hinton for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Soule of Hinton; a daughter, Shelly Soule of Hinton; two sons, Scott Soule and his wife, Kimberly of Sioux City, and Shane Soule and his wife, Dawn of Sioux City; five grandchildren, Logan Hartnett, Colton Soule, Marissa Soule, Brandy Soule and Brandon Soule; two brothers-in-law, LeRoy Soule and his wife, Dee of Moville, Iowa, and Lyle Soule of Spokane, Wash.; and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Brady Soule; and a sister in-law, Valerie Soule.
