James Francis Fitzpatrick, 68, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, at his home.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Calvary Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.
James was born on April 28, 1949, in Sioux City, to John and Bernice (Stanislav) Fitzpatrick. He graduated from Heelan High School in 1967. He then attended Briar Cliff College for two years. Following college, he moved to Washington state for work and adventure. After two years in Washington, he returned to Sioux City and worked at several different jobs. He enjoyed hiking and gardening.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas of Ames, Iowa, and Michael (Connie) of Melbourne, Fla.; brother-in-law, Joseph Fries of Davenport, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John "Jack," and Bernice; and his sister, Sandra.
